Wellbeing : Multicultural Day Celebration❤️

Our Multicultural Day was a huge success and a wonderful celebration of the many cultures that make up our school community.

A special thank you to 48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar for providing the delicious pasta, which was such a hit that many students lined up for seconds! We also thank Monzarella Italian Restaurant for the amazing Aurora gelato that students and staff thoroughly enjoyed.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the talented WOW Incursions Cultural Dance Group for their engaging performances and workshops, which brought energy, excitement, and cultural learning to the day.

Thank you to our fantastic Wellbeing Leaders, Gemima, Charlie, and Sofia, for their enthusiasm, leadership and helping organise the event. 

A special mention also goes to Ziggy, our therapy dog, who joined in the celebrations and brought smiles, comfort, and joy to students throughout the day.

The atmosphere was amazing, filled with laughter, music, dancing, and fun. From singing and cultural dancing to enjoying delicious pasta and gelato, students had the opportunity to celebrate diversity, learn about different cultures, and come together as a community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Multicultural Day such a wonderful and memorable event.

Wellbeing and Mental Health Fun Facts for Kids!

Looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health! Here are some fun facts to share with your family:

🌟 Smiling can boost your mood! Even a small smile can help your brain release chemicals that make you feel happier.

🌟 Kindness is contagious. When you do something kind for someone, both of your brains get a wellbeing boost!

🌟 Laughter is good for you. A good laugh can help reduce stress and make you feel more relaxed.

🌟 Exercise helps your brain. Running, jumping, dancing, and playing sport can improve your mood and help you focus.

🌟 Sleep is a superpower. Children need around 9–12 hours of sleep each night to help their brains and bodies grow and learn.

🌟 Talking about feelings helps. Sharing your feelings with a trusted adult, friend, or family member can help you feel supported and understood.

🌟 Gratitude grows happiness.Thinking about three things you are thankful for each day can help you develop a positive mindset.

💡 Wellbeing Tip of the Month

Take a "Mindful Minute" each day! Pause, take three slow breaths, and notice something you can see, hear, smell, and feel. Mindfulness can help calm busy minds and improve focus.
