A message from Mr Renshaw

Wishing all a safe and enjoyable break

I would like to thank our school community for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership as we break for the April holiday period.

It has been a busy and rewarding term, and we are grateful for the way our students, families and staff work together to make our school such a positive and connected place.

Wishing everyone a safe, restful and happy break.

Parent - Teacher Interviews (Term 2, Week 11)

  • Parent - Teacher interviews will take place in Week 11 of Term 2, following the distribution of student reports.
  • These interviews provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss student progress and learning goals in a one-on-one setting.
  • Students are not required to attend.
  • Each class will have a dedicated date during Week 11, beginning at 11:30 am.
  • Teachers may also offer additional interview times across the week where possible.

Child Protection Programs

Next term, students will participate in the Child Protection program as part of PDHPE. Through age-appropriate lessons, students will learn about personal safety, respectful relationships, body boundaries, safe and unsafe situations, and how to ask trusted adults for help. The programs are designed to support children in developing knowledge, language, and strategies that help keep them safe.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact your child's teacher.

HPS String Ensemble - Now Enrolling for Term 2, 2026

We are excited to share that enrolments are now open for the HPS String Ensemble, proudly led by Lily Monteverdi School of Music.

Over the past three years, our string ensemble has grown beautifully, and this year’s group is stronger than ever. With a strong cello section, a confident violin group and an increasingly polished ensemble sound, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to build their musical skills in a warm, supportive and performance-focused environment.

The program offers expert guidance while helping students grow in confidence, teamwork and musicianship. We would love to welcome more young musicians to join us in Term 2.

To register, please scan the QR code on the flyer or use the enrolment Link: https://forms.gle/JdCtQhyxGHYhBEVM7

Attendance reminder

Parents and carers play an important role in supporting regular school attendance. Attending school every day, arriving on time, and keeping the school informed about absences all help support student wellbeing and learning.

Parents and carers are asked to:

  • enrol their child in school once they reach compulsory school age
  • ensure their child attends school every day and arrives on time
  • provide an explanation for any absence within 7 days via note, phone, email, Seesaw or in person
  • provide a medical certificate, where possible, for absences of 3 or more consecutive days
  • provide a verbal or written explanation for late arrivals - these are recorded as partial absences
  • sign their child in at the office if arriving after 9:00 am
  • sign their child out at the office before 3:00 pm if leaving early, and provide a reason - this is also recorded as a partial absence
  • note that there is no playground supervision before 8:30 am
  • avoid travel during school term where possible.

School Car Parks - Safety reminder

To support the safety of all students and families, parents and carers are reminded that the school car parks are not to be used before or after school, including driving into or walking through the car parks (with or without children).

The car parks are reserved for staff and authorised users only.

If a parent/carer enters a school car park at these times:

  • Vehicles will be asked to move and use public parking.
  • Pedestrians will be asked to leave the car park area and use the designated pedestrian gates and pathways.

Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe.
