Stage 1 News

Year 1
1S have been busy Mathematicians exploring the topic of place value. They practiced building numbers using tens and ones blocks and put this thinking into creating an Unbeleafable place value tree.
In Writing, we have been reading the book ’Stuck!’ and used it as a model to learn about the structure of a narrative, including an orientation, complication and resolution. 1S wrote their own narratives about an object being stuck in a tree and thought of a creative solution on how to get it down from the tree.
Well done 1S!
Wishing all the Year 1 families a happy and relaxing holiday break!
Year 2
Our Year 2 students have had a fantastic start to the year. During the term, students have been enthusiastically exploring forces and chain reactions in Science. 2S have loved investigating how push and pull forces work and observing how energy can move through a sequence of events.
A reminder to please return all gymnastics notes before the end of term, as we are excited to begin our gymnastics program in Week 1 of Term 2.
Thank you to all our families for your ongoing support—it has been a wonderful start to the year!
