STEM Incursion

🚀 Discovery Centre Visit
On Monday, August 10th, our students enjoyed a fantastic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) experience with the Discovery Centre visiting!
The focus of the first part of the incursion was our solar system, with the Discovery Centre bringing along their portable planetarium to give students an engaging and immersive opportunity to learn more about the planets, stars and space. The second session was aimed at enabling students to learn more about electricity, switches and circuits, with a number of hands-on activities that really challenged student's thinking.
A huge thank you to Harry and the Discovery Centre for their generosity in providing this third and final free STEM incursion for the year. We are so grateful for the amazing learning opportunities they have provided our students and hope to bring even more experiences like these to Bridgewater PS in 2027!
Thanks,
Miss Coffey
