Prep Students Explore the Wonders of Wildlife!
Our Prep students recently enjoyed an exciting visit from Wildlife Xposure, bringing Australian animals right into our school.
Throughout the incursion, students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of fascinating animals, including reptiles, mammals and birds. They discovered interesting facts about each animal's habitat, diet and unique features while learning the importance of caring for our environment and respecting wildlife.
The highlight of the day was meeting the animals up close. Students were engaged, curious and enthusiastic as they observed, touched and interacted with some of Australia's amazing native creatures. There were plenty of smiles, questions and memorable moments throughout the session.
This incursion also served as a provocation for our upcoming Inquiry unit on Living Things. The experience sparked students' curiosity and encouraged them to begin asking questions about animals, their needs, their habitats and how living things grow and survive. We are excited to build on this learning next term as students investigate the characteristics and needs of living things through hands-on exploration and inquiry.
