Brisbane Metro - Launch of Brisbane's New Bus Network

Starting Monday, 30 June 2025, Brisbane’s bus network will undergo significant changes, including the introduction of Brisbane Metro M1 services running from Eight Mile Plains to Roma Street.

What’s Changing?

  • You may need to transfer as part of your journey.
  • New routes and bus services may be in place.
  • Bus stops and pick-up locations might change.
  • Ensure to check the bus timetable for any updates.

Getting ready for these changes

To help prepare for these changes, we encourage you to follow the below steps to plan your new journey.

Step 1 – Visit Translink's Brisbane's New Bus Network page, here

Step 2 – Search for your bus route number to understand what's changing

Step 3 – Plan your new journey using journey planner by entering a start and end location and select a date from Monday 30 June. (Please note – the network changes start during school holidays. This means that for district (school) services and trips that only operate on school days you’ll need to select a travel date from 14 July.)
