Adair Donaldson Workshops – Term 3: Tuesday 15 July.

 

The Gap State High School in partnership with The Gap P&C look forward to welcoming back acclaimed legal educator and speaker, Adair Donaldson on Tuesday 15 July.

Adair will speak to Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 and our Parent community. Adair’s presentations are engaging and age-appropriate, covering crucial topics such as social media use, consent, legal consequences of behaviour, underage parties and alcohol, racism, and harassment.

In the interactive Parent workshop titled Career Blockers – the Impact of Misconduct, Adair will draw on his 27 years’ experience, working with organisations like the National Rugby League and Universities Australia to explore how students and parents can be taking steps to minimise the impact that codes of conduct, social media, mobile phones, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and DFV can have on their future careers. It does not matter what industry your child is hoping to pursue a career in as every industry is being challenged by these issues. Anyone who has seen Adair present knows that it will be engaging, thought provoking and entertaining.  

 

It is a chance for parents to take time to reflect and learn from others’ experiences. Adair will also be addressing the rise of AI image abuse and educating parents in relation to the law associated with it.
