This year's Term 2 and 3 Winter PSSA preparations have begun, with the soccer and netball trials taking place in Weeks 2 and 3. Let’s get Roselea back in action for Winter PSSA!
Soccer Trials Update:
For Stage 3 soccer, Mr So lead the tryouts, with Stage 2 soccer being looked after by Mrs Son. Soccer will be great this year with some of Roselea's most amazing players. At the Stage 3 trials, we did two drills, then moved on to a game, while Stage 2 did the same.
Our first drill focused on small, fast touches and laying the ball off to our teammates. The other drill trained us on long and accurate passes before moving on to a game. We shuffled onto the pitch and got ready for kick-off. We played hard until the end. Only some of us will get in, but we will have more chances to show our skills and sportsmanship on the soccer field later in the year at Roselea Public School.

Netball Trials Update:
Since we are getting into the winter months, netball is now starting up again at Roselea Public School. In netball, of course, you can’t just get into the team with the trials. The trials are one of the most important things you do before getting into any type of sport you sign up for.
The netball coach for Stage 2 is Miss Jung, and for Stage 3 netball it is Miss Yip. Our coaches will teach us so much in the winter term for netball. At the trials, you practice your stamina, pace, shooting, and defending for the ball. Practising for the game is very important so that you can improve your skills as you play in the games throughout the weeks.
Now, everybody, let's get ready for netball in Week 5! Catch you later when the games start!
