Learning Across the

Junior School

From the Assistant Principal: Head of Junior School

Welcome back everyone to Term 2, it has been delightful to see the enthusiasm amongst all our students as we begin another term.

Parent Workshop with Madhavi Nawana Parker

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Madhavi Nawana Parker to our school community on Thursday evening for a parent workshop focused on supporting children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

Madhavi is a highly regarded and engaging speaker, known for her practical and insightful approach to topics such as mindset, emotional resilience, behaviour and positive parenting. Drawing on her extensive experience, she shared a range of strategies to support children and young people in navigating everyday challenges with confidence and calm.

Throughout the session, parents were guided through key ideas around the importance of connection. Madhavi emphasised the value of consistency, clear boundaries, and modelling respectful relationships, offering practical tools that can be readily applied at home.

The evening offered a valuable opportunity for reflection and learning, and we are deeply grateful to Madhavi for so generously sharing her expertise with our community. We hope families left feeling reassured and equipped with practical strategies to support their children’s wellbeing. Thank you to all parents and staff who attended this worthwhile event. As mentioned during the session, Madhavi’s slides will be shared with the community.

Our co-curricular program has recommenced this term, offering a wide range of engaging opportunities for the girls. I had the pleasure of visiting the Robotics Club on Wednesday and was impressed by the sophisticated systems students are currently working on together.
