Year 6 

Spotlight on Learning

Dear Families & Friends,

It’s been another fantastic week in Year 6! 4 days of great swimming and much more.

The students have had a fun-filled week of learning and have continued to show great enthusiasm across all subject areas. A friendly reminder to please keep an eye on your emails for important updates regarding our upcoming school camp.

English

Our class novel continues to be Rivet Boy, and students are developing a deeper understanding of the text and its themes. They have been exploring persuasive writing

through the topic of the workforce in the early years, using strong arguments and evidence to support their ideas. 

Mathematics

In Maths, students have continued building their understanding of operations,

strengthening their skills and applying strategies to solve increasingly complex problems.

Religion

In Religion, students have been learning to interpret Ecclesiastes 3:1–8, connect this scripture to different calendars, and explain how calendars reveal belief and identity. 

Important Reminders

• Please make sure all uniform items are clearly labelled with your child’s name using a black marker to help prevent items from being misplaced.
