Years F - 2

Term 1 has flown by! Students have enjoyed learning about measurement in Maths, focusing on informal measurement using unifix blocks and counters to compare and measure length. They have also been exploring concepts of time, including the days of the week, months of the year, and sequencing events in order.
During PE, Foundation students have been completing their Perceptual Motor Program, building on important skills such as balance, coordination, body control, spatial awareness, and agility. The Year 1–2 students have been learning the skills needed to play basketball, including dribbling, shooting, dodging, passing, and guarding the ball. They have also been practising teamwork and learning how to apply these skills in small games and activities.
In Wellbeing, students have been focusing on teamwork skills and learning how to cooperate and work positively with others. They have participated in activities that encouraged communication, trust, and problem-solving, such as balancing a pen with a partner using just one finger.
It has been wonderful to see students grow in confidence and enthusiasm throughout the term. I hope everyone has a lovely Easter and enjoys a well-earned break, ready to commence Term 2!
