Surf's up!

Recently Charlie Gibson, Duke Armstrong (Year 10) and Jesse Flemming (Year 11) travelled to Queensland to represent MacKillop and compete in the Australian Interschool Surfing Competition.

Charlie remarked that it had "been great trip with a good group of people" and that he enjoyed the opportunity to surf for four hours at Burleigh upon their arrival in Queensland. Whereas Duke found that "the comp was good fun with heaps of good energy."

Congratulations to this trio on their efforts!

Congratulations to Ruby Cash-Curtis (Year 7), Jed Burgess (Year 10) and Isabella Merlo (Year 7), who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on the Wednesday 18 June.

This is a significant step in their faith journey, and we are proud to support them during this special time. The sacrament will be celebrated by Archbishop Julian Porteous and we look forward to this joyful occasion. As a school community, we will keep Ruby, Jed and Isabella in our prayers as they prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Hannah Richards (Year 8) recently attained her strappers license and marked her first day at the races in Hobart, as the strapper for two horse her mother trains, La Virago and Last Hurrah.

With both horses taking out wins, this marks an impressive 100% success rate for Hannah.

Well done Hannah!
