Grade 5/6

Grade 5/6 students have continued to settle into their learning routines.

In Literacy, we have begun to read our class text, War Horse by Michael Morpurgo; prior to commencing reading, students learned about WW1 and the use of animals during it. We have been introduced to lots of new vocabulary and have begun to write our own narrative texts about animals.

In Mathematics, students have been revising place value, addition and subtraction.

Last week, our school leaders led our first assembly of the year and did an amazing job.

All the students have had such a positive start to the new year and should be proud of themselves- well done Grade 5/6!
