Acting Principal's Message

Thank you to all the parents who have adhered to department policy in relation to Gastro and when students are permitted to return to school. Please be aware the town is currently in the middle of a gastro outbreak. As per department policy, students are not permitted back to school until 48hours after the final bowel movement or vomiting episode has finished. This is to protect our most vulnerable in our school community, families as well as staff. Casual staffing is very hard to produce, especially at short notice. Please inform the school if your child is sick. In order for us to provide the best care and limited interruptions to your child's education, please respect this department policy. Thank you in your support.

As some of you have been notified, we are currently in the process of recruiting a new prep-two teacher. Mrs Eales and myself will be sharing the teaching in this classroom. At times there may also be a CRT. This will mean that we are not as quickly accessible to requests. Meetings may be scheduled later then preferred. Please support us in managing both the classroom and other leadership roles by being understanding if we are not able to return your call as quickly as the previous standard. Thank you in your support.

We are holding our athletics carnival in term four this year due to a range of factors. The district athletics are being held in March. To prepare for the events, Mrs Parker has been practising during PE and will continue to do this with the students until the events take place. They will also qualify for the events during PE lessons.
