From the Art Studio!

There’s lots of creativity, excitement and thoughtful making happening in the Art Studio!

With Father’s Day breakfast on Friday 4th September, our young artists have been busy creating something special to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers and other special people in their lives. I’ve loved seeing the caring and thoughtful choices students have made as they design, create and add their own personal touches. We hope these little handmade treasures bring some big smiles on Father’s Day!

We’re also getting very close to one of the highlights of our art year — the Art Show on Thursday, 10 September! We are nearly ready, and the studio is bursting with an incredible collection of colourful, imaginative and meaningful artwork. As students prepared their pieces, they have developed their communication skills, become more reflective about their creative process, and shown themselves to be open-minded as they’ve explored different ideas, materials and artistic approaches.

The Art Show is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their creative journeys and celebrate the many different ways they see, think and express themselves through art. It has been an honour to watch them grow as thinkers, communicators, risk-takers and knowledgeable learners, while also developing confidence in their own unique creative voices.

We are so proud of the care, curiosity and enthusiasm our students bring to the Art Studio each week. We can’t wait to welcome you all to the Art Show and celebrate their wonderful creativity together!
