God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

This is a prayer of surrender unto God, as I prepare to fit into this role at St Philip's as College Chaplain, I am deeply reminded about the small and big things that needs surrendering unto God. Trusting God with everything means allowing God to take control of everything. It is also about recognizing and reaffirming God’s hand daily.  In, those moments of surrendering will come the courage to listen to the still small voice and wisdom of God to guide us through the plans for the work or the mission of God here at St Philip's.

I am grateful for the work done by Pastor Sarah Pollitt, she has laid the foundation for God’s mission in the lives of all God’s family here at St Philip's. For the past 5 weeks as I try to settle into this role, Sarah, you have enabled me, spoken words of wisdom to me, opened your arms to me and made me feel welcome, you have fed me, and made sure that I feel at home. Thank you!

Thank you, Lord,

for the gifts, Pastor Sarah Pollitt and her family have

offered to St Philip's College over the past 35 years,

the seeds she has planted,

be in front of her to lead her,

beside her to defend,

within her to guide,

behind her to guard

and above her to bless.

Amen
