What an incredible four nights of theatre! 🩸🎭

From 12–15 August, our Heathmont College production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street took to the stage, and we could not be prouder of what our students achieved.

Every student involved brought something special to the production. They showed incredible professionalism, commitment, resilience and passion throughout the entire process, and every individual performer had the opportunity to truly star in their own right. Watching them grow throughout rehearsals and then step onto the stage was incredibly rewarding.

A huge special thank you to Penelope Long, Katherine Tanner, Natasha Rodrigues, Tanya Haynes-Ford, Karen Penman and all those who offered to help out throughout the show. Your work behind the scenes and throughout the production was invaluable. There are so many people who contribute to making a production like this possible, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to our incredible teachers and staff, Leigh Holland, Corinne Driscoll, Sunny Breedon, Tristan Russell, Christine McFarlane, Therissa Hargrave. Your support, guidance, expertise and willingness to give so much of your time made an enormous difference to the production. We simply could not have done it without you.

And finally, to every student who got involved in Sweeney Todd — thank you. Whether you were performing, working backstage, helping with costumes, lighting, sound, props, set, makeup, production or any of the countless other jobs that make a show happen, this production would not have been possible without you.

You should all be incredibly proud of what you achieved.

From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, Sweeney Todd became something truly special because of the people who brought it to life.

Thank you for making this production one to remember. ❤️

And now… we look forward to seeing what comes next.

Bring on 2027! 🎭✨
