First Nations News

First Nations Students had an amazing day with the Melbourne Storm as part of the NRL School to Work Program!

They got to watch a live training session and see what it takes to perform at the professional level. The visit also included a Yarning Circle, where students chatted with players and staff about their journeys, challenges, and how to stay motivated – all in a supportive, relaxed setting.

Motivational speakers shared inspiring stories and tips for achieving goals, both in sport and in life. The day included lunch, giving everyone a chance to hang out, reflect, and enjoy the experience.

It was a fun, inspiring day that showed the importance of teamwork, resilience, and chasing your dreams!

Regional Principals’ Forum Panel

First Nations students Aiden and Taliyah had the exciting opportunity to present at the Regional Principals’ Forum, sharing their experiences from the Igniting Ambitions Aspirations Day, a day designed to engage and inspire young First Nations students.

Over the past two years, they’ve taken part in workshops, connected with peers and community, celebrated culture, and met inspiring role models.

Well done Aiden & Taliyah!
