Year 7 Library Search sessions

During Weeks 8 and 9, Year 7 English classes participated in engaging Library Search sessions designed to build students’ confidence in using the library’s online resources. These sessions introduced students to Library Search, showing them how to log in, navigate the main page, and explore its key features.

Students also learned how to personalise their experience by setting up their profile and avatar, as well as how to manage their borrowing by viewing current loans and checking for any overdue books. The sessions covered how to reserve books and encouraged students to share their reading experiences by leaving reviews and ratings. In addition, students were introduced to TV4Ed, a video resource platform similar to ClickView, expanding the ways they could access educational content.

A reminder to students that you can access Library Search from home - simply log in using your school logins. Students can see which books they have overdue and watch videos using our TV4Ed platform.

Borrowing books for the school holidays

As the school holidays approach, students are encouraged to stock up on great reads from the library! Borrowing books over the holidays is a fantastic way to relax, unwind, and keep reading skills sharp during the break.

Students are welcome to borrow extra books before the end of term, giving them plenty of options to enjoy at home. Whether it’s an exciting novel, a graphic novel, or a favourite series, there’s something for everyone to discover.

We look forward to seeing students make the most of their holiday reading and returning refreshed, with new stories to share!

If you have overdue library books - make sure to return them in the library return box before the end of term.
