SSV Intermediate Volleyball Competition Results

Our intermediate teams competed in the SSV district volleyball competition yesterday, and we are proud to share some fantastic results.

The boys’ team had an incredible day, remaining undefeated throughout the competition and joyfully claiming the top spot by winning their district tournament yesterday. Even though they faced some initial challenges against teams they knew they could beat, mainly because of nerves, they slowly found their flow and gained confidence. Once they relaxed, they played to their fullest potential.

They dominated the semi-final against Melton, winning in straight sets, and carried that momentum into the grand final against our long-time rivals, Staughton. The boys delivered a strong performance to win the final in straight sets as well. Their excitement and joy were clear, celebrating a well-earned victory together.

The girls’ team also performed strongly, winning the majority of their pool games and only losing one match to Melton. Unfortunately, this result meant they narrowly missed out on progressing to the finals. Despite this, the girls gained valuable experience and insight, particularly around preparation and the mindset required for competitive play.

Overall, it was a great day for our intermediate teams. A big thank you to our staff and school leadership for their continued support, as well as to our PE department and volleyball coaching team for their hard work and dedication.
