Bathurst Big Band Blast Success

Three of our students — Hamish Brown, Toby Gillard and Nathanael Harris — attended the Bathurst Big Band Blast on the weekend, supported by a Regional Australia Government Festivals Australia scholarship.

They joined a specially formed Regional Big Band alongside students from across regional areas, took part in a workshop with the Mosaic Jazz Collective, and enjoyed performances from top ensembles including the Connections Big Band and the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra.

Our boys also took to the stage themselves — performing with the Regional Big Band and presenting their own set, supported by Felix (double bass from Amadeus) and Rod Herbert (bass trombone).

A fantastic musical experience and achievement!
