Gardening Club
with Bon & Miss Marg
Hey everyone, with the school market coming up 28th November, the school is having a “garden-ish stall”.
The kids are doing heaps in their lunch breaks but we would be so grateful if we could PLEASE HAVE DONATIONS including:
* Seedlings (doesn’t matter if they are small)
* Indoor plant cuttings (stick them in a jar now with water and we can sell them like that)
* Cuttings from your garden (potted)
* Succulents (potted)
* Excess produce from your garden
* Small glass jars with lids (no bigger than 90ml)
* Volunteering your and your child’s time on the evening, even just an hour will really help.
The kids have already planted a stack of strawberry plants and spider plants so they are all sorted. If you think of something then by all means check in with Miss Marg as she has a plan happening.
Thanks for everyone helping out, I’m sure it’s going to be a wonderful stall and market.
Bon 😊
The kids have been happily snacking on fresh peas and carrots straight from the garden, enjoying the natural sweetness and crunch that only freshly picked vegetables can offer.
It’s really special that they get to pick and eat veggies and flowers from the garden themselves. It’s a great way for them to connect with nature and learn where their food comes from, all while having a good time outside!
Thank you Bon for volunteering your time during lunch time on Wednesday to help us in the garden. Showing us the different types of flowers and parts of the vegetables we can eat is fun!!
Who would have thought you could eat a snow-pea flower and it taste like a pea!
