School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

School Values

This term, students will be diving deep and discussing what make a strong leader.

This week, students are learning about what makes a good leader and how they can demonstrate leadership in our classroom and school. They are exploring what leaders do, identifying the key qualities that make someone a strong and positive leader, and practising these skills through group tasks and classroom activities.

Pixar’s “For the Birds” – a short film with no dialogue showing teamwork, fairness, and leadership lessons.

School Wide Positive Behaviour

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is a whole-school approach that helps create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for every student. It focuses on teaching and encouraging the behaviours that help everyone learn and get along. Schools using SWPBS work together to set clear expectations, support students who need extra help, and celebrate positive choices. The goal is to make school a place where all students feel happy, respected, and ready to learn every day.

This week staff met with SWPBS coach Nicole, to undertake professional learning and support in developing a new school expected behaviour matrix. This matrix has been developed based on data and opinions collected from both students and staff.

WE WOULD LOVE YOUR INPUT!

Please see below a draft matrix that we will be trialling before the end of the school year. We welcome any suggestions.
