Creating Futures Together

Support Our School – Every Contribution Counts!

Did you know that voluntary contributions from families help us provide the very best for our students?

Your support helps us:

  • Purchase up-to-date classroom resources
  • Maintain essential teaching software
  • Enhance learning programs and activities

These contributions directly benefit your child and their classmates by supporting high-quality teaching and a richer learning environment.

Many families choose to contribute because they see the difference it makes.

No matter the amount, your support is deeply appreciated and truly impactful.

Please remember, you can make a payment of any amount at any time through the Compass Payments Centre, or you are welcome to come into the office to pay via EFT or cash.

Thank you for being part of our school community.

Electives

If you see an event on Compass asking you to contribute to an elective that your student is no longer studying, please contact the school office at business.manager@whsc.vic.edu.au so that we can make the change. We do try to keep this information accurate but occasionally we may have missed an update. Thank you for your understanding.

Student Absences

If your student will be absent from school please login to the Compass Parent Portal and add an Attendance Note.  If you are having difficulties logging into Compass please contact the General Office.

Improvement to our Grounds

This month we have been improving our school grounds through the installation of fixed covered bin surrounds and wayfinding signage.

We have been concerned about rubbish in the school grounds for a while. Through listening to students we learnt that many are reluctant to touch bin lids because they don’t want to come into contact with germs or dirt. This can lead to bins being left open or rubbish being placed around the bin instead of inside, which makes school grounds messy and unhygienic.

We have started installing fixed covered bin surrounds with openings for both waste and recycling which allows everyone to dispose of the rubbish properly and keep our grounds clean and welcoming. So far we have installed six double units with 8 more to come. This is a significant financial investment for the College and we are already seeing improvements - although we’ve heard the crows aren’t happy!

We have also installed new wayfinding signage to help students, staff, and visitors navigate our school easily and confidently. Clear directional signs to classrooms, offices,  and key facilities reduces confusion—especially for new students or during events. We’re hoping it will also support punctuality and help us create a more welcoming and organised school environment.

School Uniform Update

As part of a State Government review of public school uniform codes to ensure affordability, schools  can no longer offer clothing items with logos below the waist. For WHSC this will have minimal impact. We have only have 2 items that have logos below the waist, our sports shorts and navy tracksuit pants.

Our uniform supplier, Lowes, will still provide the same items but without the logos. The new policy will come into effect at the end of Term Four, 2025. All other items remain in place. Students who currently wear  plain, navy tracksuit pants or shorts, without the logo on their Sport or PE days are within our current WHSC uniform dress code. Black tracksuit pants, black shorts, hoodies and leggings are not permitted within the policy approved by School Council.

With the cold weather now upon us the newly introduced puffer jackets are proving to be a popular item - they are warm, fashionable and available for purchase at Lowes.  Zero members can purchase uniform items at a reduced price, visit Lowes in-store or on-linetoday.

If you would like any additional information about our uniform policy or the Government policy changes, please do not hesitate to contact the College.

Parking Information

Please find attached a map of the parking restrictions on Raphael Drive as provided by City of Monash Council. The safety of our students at drop offs and collections is a genuine concern for us all and we ask that you  respect the parking signage and speed limits so that everyone is safe.

A message from PTV

We’re improving Victoria’s public transport ticketing system to make travel easier and more convenient.

To get there, we’ve started progressively rolling out new ticket readers across the rail network, line-by-line, with bus and tram to follow.

At first, the new readers will accept myki only - so keep using myki for now.

If you see a new platform or gate reader, simply:

  • tap on with your myki or with Mobile myki in your Google Wallet™ app
  • tap on the ‘tap zone’ of the reader, not the screen
  • tap off on any reader on the network, as normal.

This is a critical step in enabling contactless payments by credit or debit card, smartphone or smart devices.
