Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding term, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the many wonderful learning experiences, achievements, and community events that have taken place throughout Term 2.

The term began with our Prep to Year 3 students participating in their swimming program, where they developed important water safety skills and confidence in the pool. Later in the term, our Year 4 to Year 6 students also enjoyed their swimming lessons, further enhancing their swimming abilities and aquatic safety awareness.

Sport has featured prominently throughout the term. Students proudly represented our school at the Interschool Cross Country Carnival, demonstrating determination, perseverance, and outstanding sportsmanship. Our Year 3–6 students also participated in the annual house Athletics Day, where they showcased their talents across a range of track and field events. Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 students have continued to participate in weekly Round Robin Interschool Sports competitions, enjoying both the challenge of competition and the opportunity to build friendships with students from neighbouring schools.

We were also thrilled to celebrate the outstanding success of our Year 6 Boys and Year 6 Girls Hockey teams, who both claimed District Championship titles this week. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the students' skill, teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. We congratulate all players and coaches involved and wish both teams every success as they progress to the next stage of competition.

One of the highlights of the term was our Mother's Day celebrations. We were delighted to welcome so many mothers, grandmothers, and special women to our Mother's Day Morning Tea, Mass, and Stall. These events provided a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in gratitude and celebration.

Our faith journey continued with the celebration of the Sacrament of First Eucharist. We congratulate our candidates and their families on this important milestone and thank all those who supported them in their preparation.

A special mention must also go to our increasingly popular Run Club. It has been fantastic to see so many students enthusiastically participating each week, developing their fitness, setting personal goals, and encouraging one another.

The term concluded with our Parent-Teacher Exchange meetings, providing families and teachers with a valuable opportunity to discuss student progress, celebrate achievements, and strengthen the partnership between home and school in supporting every child's learning journey.

As we conclude Term 2, I extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, supportive families, and most importantly, our students, whose enthusiasm and commitment make our school such a vibrant and welcoming community. I wish everyone a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to another exciting term ahead.

End of Term 2

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the end of Term 2, with the dismissal time of 12:30pm. Due to the Australia vs Paraguay World Cup match, there will be no assembly as many students have requested to see the game. Any birthdays from this week will be acknowledged at assembly first week back.  School will resume for Term 3 on Monday 13th July.

Grandparents Morning and Mass

On Tuesday 28th July we will be holding our annual Grandparents Day Mass and classroom visits.  We will continue, based on the feedback from last year, to have the Mass at Midday to allow for a less rushed morning.

10:00am - 11:00am - Grandparents to visit classrooms to see the students in action.

11:00am - 11:50am - Morning Tea in the hall for Grandparents

(Featuring a presentation from the School Production - Alice the Musical)

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Whole School Grandparents Day Mass in the Church
