EAL/D News

During Term 2, a small group of Kindergarten students attended English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) lessons. The students listened to the story Noni the Pony Goes to the Beach by Alison Lester and participated in a variety of activities that helped them move from speaking to writing in a supported way. Activities included sequencing the story, orally retelling the story using time connectives (such as first, then, next), jointly constructing the main events, and rewriting parts of the story. Students were also keen to share their own experiences about visiting the beach!
