YEAR 10 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 10

Athletics Carnival

The St Mary’s Athletics Carnival will take place on Monday, 22 June at Barlow Park. This is a compulsory school day, and all students are expected to attend. If your child is unwell, please notify the College via the MyCE app, in accordance with normal absence procedures.

For our Year 10 students, this event provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership. We encourage students to lead by example through active participation, positive encouragement of others, and strong House spirit throughout the day. Students may choose to participate competitively or non‑competitively — every contribution counts.

Students must arrive in their House uniform and enclosed shoes. They may change into appropriate House costumes once at Barlow Park. Students are to be dropped off and picked up directly at Barlow Park.

We look forward to seeing our Year 10 cohort representing their Houses with pride, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community.

Year 10 Retreat – Term 3, Week 2 (Genazzano)

Thank you to the families who have responded to the parent slip. I will be in contact next week to finalise details. Please note that the Retreat is a compulsory component of the Year 10 program.

Retreat Groups:

  • Group 1: 10CA2, 10HE2, 10HU2, 10MU2

    Monday 20 July – Wednesday 22 July

  • Group 2: 10CA1, 10HE1, 10HU1, 10MU1

    Wednesday 22 July – Friday 24 July

Students have submitted their rooming preferences to assist with planning. Despite our best efforts and due to events beyond our control, some students have needed to swap retreat days. Please check with your child to confirm their allocated group and dates. When not attending the retreat, students will attend an alternative program to support Year 11 subject selection and SET planning interviews.

Semester Reports

While the upcoming holidays are an important time for rest and rejuvenation, we encourage families to take the opportunity to review and discuss your child’s results together. These outcomes provide valuable insights and will help inform subject and pathway choices as students prepare for their transition into Senior Studies.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to contact their subject teachers for further clarification and support.
