YEAR 7 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 10
Athletics Carnival
Monday is the College Athletics Carnival, with the theme "Running Through Time." Please note the following key details for the day:
- Students must make their own way to and from Barlow Park (8.30am - 3.15pm).
- Students should wear their house uniform and closed-toe shoes. Any dress-up items should be put on once they arrive at the venue.
All student abilities are catered for through competitive, participation, and novelty events. We encourage every student to take part and earn valuable house points.
I look forward to seeing all Year 7 students out on the track!
Locker Cleanout
A reminder to all families that students are required to clean out their lockers on their last day of school. We ask for your support to ensure this is completed on your child’s final day of term. This helps the College ensure that no valuables are left on site during the two-week break and helps keep our community safe.
Students should attach their locks to their school bags, ready for Term 3.

How to Order
Please complete thepre-order form and make payment at the Uniform Shop (located next to the Tuckshop), which is open Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 am–8:45 am.
When ordering, please include:
- Name of the student or family member collecting the order
- Quantity required

Orders close: Friday 19 June (Term 2, Week 9). Payment must be received by the end of Term 2.

New E-Bike & E-Scooter Laws from 1 July 2026
If you ride an e-bike, e-scooter, e-skateboard or e-unicycle, important new Queensland laws come into effect from 1 July 2026.
Key changes include:
✅ New speed limits on footpaths and when passing pedestrians
✅ Increased penalties for unsafe riding
✅ Police powers to seize illegal devices used in public places
✅ Stricter requirements for legal e-bikes and personal mobility devices
✅ Continued focus on helmet use, mobile phone restrictions, and drink-riding laws
These changes are designed to improve safety for riders, pedestrians and all road users. Parents and students are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the new rules before the school holidays.
