Socceroos World Cup Celebration Day 

What an unforgettable day it was at Lockleys North Primary School as we came together to celebrate the Socceroos' FIFA World Cup match!

We were incredibly excited to welcome both ABC Adelaide and Behind the News (BTN) to our school to film the incredible atmosphere and interview our students as they shared their excitement for the World Cup. Our students represented the school exceptionally well, speaking confidently during interviews, showing off their football skills and tricks, and demonstrating the enthusiasm that makes our school community so special.

The school was transformed into a sea of green and gold, with students and staff embracing the occasion by dressing in Australia's colours. The energy in the gym was electric! Students chanted, cheered, sang and supported the Socceroos throughout the match, creating an atmosphere worthy of a World Cup event.

A highlight of the day was seeing so many students enjoy their special Socceroos World Cup donuts from Vili's, with more than 250 donuts ordered across the school. Thanks to the generosity of our families, we also raised approximately $330 through our gold coin donations. These funds will go directly towards purchasing new equipment for our Saturday School Soccer Teams.

A special thank you goes to our senior students, who did a fantastic job setting up and packing away the gym. Their leadership and teamwork helped create a wonderful venue that looked outstanding and ensured the event ran smoothly from start to finish.

Thank you to all of our students and staff who embraced the day and helped make it such a memorable celebration. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together as a school community, celebrate the world's game, and show our support for the Socceroos. We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to making the day such a tremendous success!
