The excitement has continued to build in our LNPS Futsal World Cup, with students showcasing fantastic skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to Morocco, who were crowned our Fisher Futsal World Cup Champions after defeating Australia in a thrilling final. Both teams played an outstanding match, but Morocco proved to be more clinical in front of goal, making the most of their opportunities to secure the title.
Congratulations to both finalists, and well done to every student who participated throughout the Fisher competition.
The action now shifts to our Torrens (Year 3/4) competition, where the group stage has produced some exciting matches, impressive goals, and several surprise results. Students have represented their countries with enthusiasm and determination, making every game entertaining for the growing crowds of supporters.
Tomorrow will see our second semi-final, with Spain taking on Brazil for a place in the championship match. The winner will then face France in the Grand Final at lunchtime to determine our Torrens Futsal World Cup Champions.
A special thank you to our senior student leaders who have volunteered their time to referee, umpire, keep score, and provide live commentary throughout the tournament. Their organisation, leadership, and encouragement have helped create an authentic World Cup atmosphere and have made the event a fantastic success for everyone involved.
All the best to Spain and Brazil!

A huge thank you to all of the students who entered our 2026 School Disco Poster Competition! We were incredibly impressed by the creativity, colour, and effort that went into each and every entry.
Our Student Ambassadors had the difficult job of selecting the winning designs. After much discussion, they have chosen two winning posters. One from the Junior Primary (R-2) and one from the Primary classes (3-6)
The winners will be officially announced at this Friday's Whole School Assembly, where the winning designs will be revealed to the school community.
We are also excited to let families know that tickets for the School Disco will go live on the first day back of Term 3.
Keep an eye out for further information and reminders, early next term. Thank you again to everyone who participated. We can't wait to celebrate another fantastic school disco with our LNPS community!
Our Student Ambassadors and Student Leaders have had an incredibly successful Semester 1, leading a range of initiatives and events that have made a positive impact across our school.
Throughout the semester, our leadership groups have worked collaboratively during their meetings to share ideas, solve problems, and plan new opportunities for students. We have also received some fantastic suggestions through our Student Suggestion Boxes, many of which we are excited to begin implementing in Semester 2.
Next semester, we are thrilled to launch our Active Lunch program again, while continuing to offer our popular Active Library sessions.
Active Library (Tirkandi) will be open:
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Active Lunch (Gym) will run from 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm on:
Monday – Rowell & Mellor students
Tuesday – Torrens students
Friday – Fisher students
A huge thank you to all of our Student Ambassadors and Student Leaders for their enthusiasm, leadership and commitment throughout Semester 1. We can't wait to see what we can achieve together in Semester 2!
Thank you,
Anton
