Rhythm Revolution at LNPS

We are thrilled to announce that from Week 6 Term 3 until Week 6 Term 4, Footsteps is back! As in 2024, all students at LNPS will be participating in a fun and engaging Dance Program with Footsteps! 

This will culminate in a whole-school performance, ‘Rhythm Revolution at LNPS’ on the evening of Thursday 26th November on the oval.  Based on feedback from the school community, the performance has been moved to later in the term (week 7) and will be our end-of-year celebration. The 2024 performance was huge, and it is going to be another spectacular night with loads of fun!

What to Expect:

• Weekly Sessions: Students will participate in a 30- 40 minute dance class once a week, on Thursday or Friday. 

• Themed Dance Concert: Throughout the session, students will learn a concert dance based on the theme ‘Rhythm Revolution'. This exciting program incorporates various music styles and movements to create a dynamic and entertaining performance.

• Curriculum Link: The program aligns with the Dance, Creative Arts & HPE curriculum, helping students develop fundamental movement skills, performance confidence, and an appreciation for the arts.

• Learning Objectives: Beyond learning the dance routine, students will explore the elements of dance, choreography, and characterisation. They will also develop their social skills by interacting and collaborating with their peers.

This program will be a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and build confidence in a fun and inclusive environment.

Program Cost and Participation:

The program cost is $38 per student. This fee covers the instructor, learning materials, and participation in the ‘Rhythm Revolution at LNPS’. Invoices will be emailed to families in Week 1 of Term 3. 

All students are expected to participate in this program as it is part of our Arts curriculum learning.
