Hi I’m Sam, the vice-school captain and I’m writing to remind you of what’s been happening around the school.
Firstly, the innovation forms from grade 3-6 have been submitted. Well done to all the applicants, the result of it will be shared through an email, or your teacher may let you know. Good luck!
Some very exciting news we have is that we have chosen the children who have agreed to dress up as Glen The Roo! They are all very eager to represent our school’s identity, unite the GWPS community and encourage all students. Additionally, well done to all those who applied and better luck next time!
Just a reminder that year 6 camp forms for expression of interest have been sent home and are due by the 12th of June, so make sure you hand it in before the due date. The actual invoice for it will be shared shortly. Stay tuned!
A while back the grade 3’s and 4’s had the softball clinic. The day was filled with great fun, excitement and enthusiasm. All the children learnt many things about softball and even had a chance to play it. Thank you to the softball clinic workers, everyone truly had a blast.
Maths Olympiad/ Maths Games took place on the 10th of June for the grade 5 and 6’s. Congratulations to all that participated, everyone gave it they’re all and went through a productive struggle. The next Olympiad will take place in term 3, prepare well!
Regional cross country will be held on the 11th of June, a big congratulations to Ayaan, Shivaan and Reyaan. We wish you the best of luck to make state, we’re sure you’ll make us proud!
That concludes this week’s newsletter, make sure you make sensible choice, follow the school values and most important, have fun!
Yours sincerely,
Sam (2026 school-vice captain)
