Book Week

We are excited to celebrate Book Week on 

Friday 28th August

Parade and Award Ceremony

The day will begin with our much-loved Book Week Parade and Award Ceremonyin the gym at 9:15 am. Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and join in the celebration of books and reading.

This year's costume award categories:

• Most creative
• Best character match
• Clever use of recycled materials
• Best group or duo

Open Classroom Afternoon

To finish our celebrations, we invite parents and carers to join us for an Open Classroom Afternoon at 2:45 pm. Students will proudly share a variety of Book Week activities they have completed throughout the day, giving families the opportunity to celebrate their learning and love of reading together.

Book Face Competition

As part of our Book Week celebrations, we're excited to announce that our Book Face Competition is back!

To enter, simply create a Book Face by taking a photo of yourself using the cover of a book to replace your face or part of your body. It can be a little tricky to line everything up, so students may need someone to help take the photo. We've shared some examples to inspire you!

Please upload your entry to your child's Seesaw journal by Wednesday 26th August (before the end of the school day).

Winners will be announced at our Book Week Parade on Friday 28th August.

There will be:

• One Junior Winner (Foundation–Year 2)
• One Senior Winner (Years 3–6)
