Kids Helpline
On Tuesday last week, our Grade 3 students participated in an engaging online incursion with Kids Helpline.
During the session, students explored the importance of healthy friendships, discussing how to build positive relationships, recognise helpful and unhelpful friendship behaviours, and respond when friendships become challenging. They also learned about the Kids Helpline service, including the different ways young people can access support whenever they need it.
The session provided valuable strategies for building positive relationships and reminded students that support is always available when they need it.
Next Term, the Grade 2 students will be doing a session on resilience and the Grade 4 students will be doing one about being online.
Social Stencil
This Term, our Year Four's will be working with Olympia, our Art Therapist, during their weekly Social and Emotional Learning session. We will be implementing a program called Social Stencil, with the Year Three's beginning to work with Olympia over the next term.
Social Stencil is an Australian, neuro-affirming social-emotional curriculum designed for children. It helps young people understand their unique communication and social styles while building skills in emotional regulation, friendship dynamics, and conflict management.
