Layla Parry (Class of 2016)  

Layla is living in Darwin but also helping out her Grandpa Joe Parry, in the family business of Watjan Tours, in the tourist season. Watjan Tours is a cultural tourism experience, including history, bush tucker, hunting and gathering wildlife, and operates out of Wadeye/Daly River in the NT. 

 

Layla’s Gippsland host family, Meg and Tony visited last December, and Layla took them out on Country and dug for hours, teaching them how to find ochre.  

 

Tatiana  (Class of 2019) and Kenita Bush (Class of 2017)

Rumarlea (Class of 2019) 

Rumarlea has been working in Derby at the Emama Nguda Aboriginal Corporation since she finished at Kingswood College, Melbourne school last year, and as well as commencing a Cert III in Accounts Administration at TAFE, she has been given two new roles at work -  Housing Manager an Payroll/Bookkeeping.   

 

Outside of work she's back playing netball with a local team and has moved into a house with her brother and his girlfriend, as her Mum and Dad are moving to Perth. 

 

Debbie Narburup (Class of 2019) 

Debbie is continuing her work as a nanny for the Hewett family in Darwin – she is now getting casual work as an assistant at the Families as First Teachers (FaFT), Ludmilla playgroup every week, and has also commenced work at McDonalds in Bagot Road. Debbie also obtained her Ls recently – look out for Debbie when you go there! 

Sam Warrior, Adam Minjin and Max Puruntatameri (Class of 2019 - photo above) 

These 3 mates are all playing footy for Imalu Tigers, at Pirlangimpi. Adam is also working at the shop and all the fellas are enjoying living at home on the Tiwi Islands.
