Free Windows 11 Pro Upgrade

Dear Nazareth Community

The Nazareth College ICT Department is pleased to announce that all students currently using any edition of Windows 10 or Windows 11 Home is eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, as part of our initiative to support modern, secure, and efficient learning environments.

Important Notice:

Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will officially end on October 14, 2025. After this date, devices running Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support. This makes upgrading essential for staying protected and maintaining access to secure online academic resources.

Benefits of Windows 11 Pro:

Upgrading to Windows 11 Pro will provide you with:

• Enhanced security features like BitLocker and Windows Information Protection
• Advanced system management tools for better performance and control
• Improved security and regular updates aligned with the latest technology standards
• Optimized performance and updated user interface
• Ongoing support and feature updates from Microsoft

Who Is Eligible?

All currently enrolled Nazareth College students with a compatible device running any version of Windows 10 are eligible to receive this complimentary upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

How to Upgrade:

1. Request your free Windows 11 Pro license by emailing us at icthelpdesk@nazareth.vic.edu.au or by visiting the ICT Help Desk. A suitable time slot will be made available, and a temporary laptop can be issued whilst the upgrade process is underway. On average, the entire upgrade process takes approximately 2 hours to complete

We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity well before the Windows 10 end-of-support date. Staying updated ensures better performance, enhanced protection, and continued access to College systems and services.
