Worlds Greatest Shave
Proudly supporting the Leukemia Foundation's
Dear Brighton Secondary College Community,
We're excited to share that this year, Brighton Secondary College is once again proudly participating in the Leukemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave, a great initiative that unites communities nationwide for people facing blood cancer.
What is the World's Greatest Shave?
The World's Greatest Shave is an annual event organised by the Leukemia Foundation, aimed at raising funds to support families facing life with blood cancer. This year, our school is once again getting behind this incredible cause, and we invite all of you to be part of this meaningful journey.
How Can You Get Involved?
1. Participate: Students, staff and parents/carers are encouraged to get involved by by shaving or cutting their hair for the cause and raising money! All hair can be donated and if you are feeling extra brave, any hair longer than 20cm can be used to create wigs.
If you would like to take part, sign up via the WGS website and join our team: https://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/join/BRIGHTONSECONDARYCOLLEGE
2. Sponsor an individual or our team: Our dedicated students, teachers and staff are ready to make a bold statement by shaving, cutting or colouring their hair. You can show your support by sponsoring them, which goes toward the college's total. Alternatively, contribute online at https://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/fundraisers/brightonsecondarycollege
3. Volunteer to cut/shave: The more people we can get on board to help cut or shave the better, so please let us know if you'd be happy to take on this job by emailing chd@brightonsc.vic.edu.au
Let's Spread the Word!
We encourage you to share this exciting news with family and friends,
and let's make the World's Greatest Shave a resounding success at Brighton Secondary College.
Warm regards,
Malachy True (College Captain)
Liz Bolton (Leading Teacher)
Danny Chalk (Assistant Principal)
