Excursion to Melbourne Museum and IMAX

7S, 8EAL & Language Centre

Student Reflection - Jess 7S

Our trip to IMAX was an exciting experience filled with the chance to learn valuable information about blue whales, explore vast topics shown in the museum, some of which we had never heard of, and bond with classmates.

We journeyed through the lush ‘rainforest’, where we saw small critters and an entire ecosystem of flourishing plants. We also looked deep into the world of dinosaurs and other ancient creatures and learned about the vibrant culture of Aboriginal people. As the most significant part of the day, we donned 3D glasses and headed into IMAX to absorb as much knowledge as we could about the endangerment of blue whales.

It was fascinating and broadened our horizons to other critical environmental issues. Overall, this excursion was a great way to enjoy time outside of school, begin a new topic and traverse through the expansive world of blue whales.
