We have been enjoying so many wonderful learning experiences together over the past few weeks! The children have been engaged in a variety of rich sensory and hands-on experiences recently that have sparked curiosity, enthusiasm, creativity, and exploration.
During National Science Week, they loved our milk, oil, and food colouring experiment, making predictions, exploring what happened, and watching the colourful reactions with excitement.
One of the highlights has been our Dinosaur and Fossil Incursion with the Melbourne Museum. The children were fascinated to learn about different dinosaurs, discover interesting dinosaur facts, and explore real fossils. After the incursion, we extended this interest through a dinosaur sensory tray filled with kinetic sand, dinosaur skeletons, and fossils. The children loved digging, searching, and uncovering the hidden bones with their hands, inspiring rich curiosity and imaginative play.
We have also been busy preparing special gifts for the dads and special people in our lives. The children have put so much care and love into creating their surprises, and we are looking forward to sharing this special celebration with you at our Open Afternoon.
