Book Week Celebration
Book Week has been a wonderful celebration of reading and storytelling across our school. Throughout the week, students enjoyed special Mystery Readers in the library, with staff sharing some of their favourite stories. I was lucky enough to read one of my new favourite picture books, Dear Broccoli, which was a big hit with the students!
Classes also embraced the joy of creating stories together, working collaboratively to write and illustrate their own class books. It has been fantastic to see students' creativity, teamwork and love of writing on display.
To finish the week, our annual Book Week Parade brought the whole school together. Students and staff showcased an incredible range of imaginative costumes inspired by this year's theme, Symphony of Stories, making it a wonderful celebration of books, reading and creativity. Thank you to our families for the time and effort put into helping students prepare for the parade and for supporting a lifelong love of reading.
Thank you to all the members of our community who came to the Book Parade - it was incredibly well attended and made for a fantastic celebration at the end of a wonderful week.
