Thank you, thank you, thank you

Book Fair

I can not say it enough. Thanks to everyone who made a purchase, big or small, from our book fair. Our library will now receive $2551 worth of new books for your children to borrow and enjoy. Anne now has the big job of getting these processed and into our library.

Book Week

Note change of date:- Tuesday 25th August is now our Book Week Parade date

On Tuesday 25th of August (note change of date) we will be holding our Book Week celebrations. Our dress up day and whole school celebrations will be starting at 9.00am in the under cover area near the Multi-purpose room. Costumes can be a favourite book character or you may choose to dress up following the theme, “Symphony of Stories”. This covers almost anything you can think of. 

We will begin the day with a short but fun staff presentation followed by a class by class whole school parade where the children will have the opportunity to show off their costume. Parents are invited to come to school and enjoy this part of the day with the children. The children will then head back to their classrooms with their buddy grades to enjoy some book week activities.

I am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes, remember don't stress, it's all fun, great costumes can be made from things you already have at home. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Book Week Bookmarks

The children are currently creating bookmarks, during their library time, related to the Book Week theme “Symphony of Stories” These will be displayed at the Colac Herald Office during Book Week.
