Band camp this weekend! - 21st and 22nd March 2026

Please ensure you carefully check the 2026 Events Parent Roster of the dates and times you are required to be at school to help out for the band camp. If you are unable to attend, please organise a swap with another family and let the band committee know.

 

Please note that all volunteers need to have filled in the digital declaration form through the SCHOOL OFFICE. Please let the committee know if you do not think you have done this, we will check with the school.

 

Saturday 21 March

  • Saturday registration starts at 12.30pm (please note children should not be dropped off before that time, as they will NOT be supervised).
  • Children need to arrive by 12.40pm (please ensure your child has lunch before coming).
  • You are required to sign your child IN and OUT of band camp each day. Please do not drop them off without signing them in!
  • We will be starting with a very brief introduction in the school hall at 12.40pm before students head to their respective tutorials/ rehearsals.
  • Dress code for the weekend is mufti, with the exception of Sunday's concert. 
  • Pick up time for children on Saturday is 6.30pm and they will be provided pizza for dinner. Do not forget to sign them out before picking them up from pizza.
  • Once you have collected your child, please move quickly from the school grounds to allow the school to be locked up in a timely manner.

 

Sunday 22 March

  • For Sunday’s concert, please have your child wear a shirt/ t-shirt/top/dress (or more) in their section’s colour. Children are welcome to wear this to camp on Sunday, or bring their clothes to change into.
  • Purple - Flute & oboe
  • Blue - Clarinet
  • Green - French horn
  • Yellow - Saxophone
  • Orange - Trumpet
  • Red - Trombone, euphonium & bass guitar
  • Pink - Percussion
  • Sunday registration starts at 8.45am for a 9.00am start. Children need to arrive by 8.55am and will be directed to go straight to their tutorial/ rehearsal location.
  • BBQ Lunch - The children will be having a BBQ sausage lunch on Sunday before the concert. Please make sure to indicate any allergies/dietary requirements in your Google form registration.
  • The band camp concludes with band camp concert which will start at 2.30pm and finish at 3.15pm. Parents, siblings and carers are all invited to attend 😀
  • And once again, please do not forget to sign children out after the concert.

 

Additional upcoming events

Be sure to add these to your calendar:

  • Thursday 2nd April at 9.15am: Easter Hat Parade - All bands will be performing.
  • Friday 24th April 9.30am: Anzac Day Service - Only Concert Band will be performing.

 

Band invoices

  • Term 1 band fee invoices have been sent out. Please pay by 20 March.
  • Band camp invoices have been sent out, please pay promptly.
  • If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you are encouraged to contact the band committee for support.
