Responsible Use of School Toilets

This fortnight, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus is on showing respectful and responsible behaviour in our school toilets. The toilets are an important facility and it’s essential we use them properly, not as a place to play or hang out. Using the toilets responsibly helps keep our school environment clean, safe and comfortable for everyone.

Why is this important?

When toilets are misused or left messy, it creates extra work for staff members like Mr Broome and the cleaners, who work hard to keep our facilities in good shape. Respecting their efforts means thinking about their hard work and being mindful each time you use the toilets.

Let’s all work together by:

  • Only using the toilets for their intended purpose
  • Not playing, running or gathering in the toilets
  • Leave the area tidy by flushing, using rubbish bins and reporting any problems
  • Respecting the privacy of others in the toilets
  • Going to the toilets during break times or lunchtime, not during lesson times unless absolutely necessary. Using the toilets at breaks helps avoid disruption to your learning and makes sure classes can run smoothly for everyone. If you need to use the toilet during class, please ask your teacher and make sure it is for a genuine reason.

Let’s all do the right thing and help make our school a better place for learning and growing together.
