Futsal Success in Brisbane!

A massive congratulations to our students who represented the school and Victoria at the National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane over the recent school holidays! Oliver Lloyd, Mitchell Harris, Finnan Howley, Jameson Howley, Vitale Van Der Merwe, Summer Cook, Evie Lockens and Adrian Avenell.

We are incredibly proud of the efforts, sportsmanship, and talent displayed by all of our teams. These students competed against the best young Futsal players in the country, and their hard work truly paid off.

A special shout-out goes to the Vic West 10-Year-Old Boys team, who had an outstanding tournament and finished as Overall Runners-Up! The Vic West 11-Year-Old Boys team also performed brilliantly, making it all the way to the Semi-Finals. All our other participating teams were highly competitive and played with excellent spirit.

The majority of these talented players were scouted during our District School Futsal Tournament earlier this year, while others had earned prior selection into Victorian teams.

Well done to every single student involved, you have made our school community very proud!

The good news doesn't stop there! Following the tournament, some of our students have been selected to represent Australia in international Futsal teams! This is an incredible honour and a testament to their dedication to the sport.

Congratulations to the following children:

Oliver Lloyd- Philippines

Finnan Howley - Philippines

Michell Harris - China

Jameson Howley - China

Vitale Van Der Merwe - Barcelona

Evie Lockens - Barcelona

Adrian Avenell - New Zealand

BMX Nationals

A huge congratulations to Lincoln in Year 5, who has been competing in the Australian National BMX Racing Championships this week in New South Wales.

Lincoln, a proud member of the Sunbury BMX Club, finished 26th in Australia for Under 11 Boys, an incredible achievement in such a tough competition against the nation’s best riders.

We are so proud of Lincoln’s dedication, persistence, and passion for his sport. What a wonderful experience to travel and compete at such a high level.

Well done, Lincoln!

Maths Trick

Levi's maths trick is:

If you multiply 1089 by 9 it reverses the number exactly to become 9801!

Spring Breaktime Fun

It’s only the first week of Term 4, but the children have already been making the most of the sunshine (and a little bit of wind!) during their break times. Thank you to everyone for helping find school hats! It’s lovely to see them out and about again.

Riding the Wind

Grade 2 girls having fun on their scooters and bikes. Isabelle thinks it's fun to do a little push and then let the wind take them! 'We call it riding the wind!'
