Ovarian Cancer Australia Fiordlands NZ 2025
Kia Ora, Holy Cross Community!
This term, from Thursday 30th October to the 2nd of November, I will be taking part in the Ovarian Cancer Australia Teal Trek, in Queenstown, New Zealand.
In 2019, my mum was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, so supporting this charity is really important to me.
The Teal Trek: New Zealand 2025 will raise vital funds to support women living with ovarian cancer, along with their families and carers. Donations help fund essential services like the ovarian cancer support and information helpline, connecting women with experienced oncology health professionals for guidance and referrals.
Each day in Australia, five women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and three will lose their lives. Unlike other cancers, survival rates have remained low - just 49% compared to 92% for breast cancer.
For over 20 years, Ovarian Cancer Australia has provided expert support and advocacy, delivering free, specialist programs tailored to those impacted. With your help, they can continue to provide these life-changing services.
So far, my team has raised over $40, 000, and I am almost halfway to my own fundraising goal. If you would like to donate a small amount, please use the link or QR code below.
