Apprenticeship Opportunity with Empire Signs

Learn a creative trade and become a fully qualified signwriter!

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll learn the practical skills required to design, manufacture, and install a wide range of indoor and outdoor signage, including vinyl graphics, large-format prints, retail shopfronts, and illuminated signs.

Upon successful completion, you'll receive a Certificate III in Signs and Graphics. Apprentices attend trade school eight times a year in one-week blocks (approximately every 5–6 weeks). Alongside trade school, you'll receive ongoing on-the-job training from our experienced team, helping you build confidence and develop the skills to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare vinyl and printed materials for signage applications.
Assist with the installation of various types of signage.
Load and transport signage, tools, and materials to site.
Prepare installation sites, including the removal of existing signage.
Perform maintenance and repairs to signage as required.
Operate a variety of tools and equipment.
Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively as part of a team.

Skills and Experience

Driver's licence (preferred but not essential).
Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Willingness to learn to operate boom and scissor lifts.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Volunteer Inductions

At Moama Anglican Grammar, we recognise the valuable part volunteers play in helping our students flourish in our school community. We welcome parents, carers, guardians, or community members to become registered volunteers to enable them to be involved in the variety of student activities we offer at our school.

To become a registered volunteer, you are required to complete both the Volunteer Induction and Agreement. We have recently updated our process, and families can now complete these steps online. To begin, please contact the Primary Office by emailing psreception@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au or calling 03 5480 5950.

Volunteers require a current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW. It involves a National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct. The Check is FREE for volunteers, and the link below provides further information on how to obtain a WWCC online.
