From the Classroom

We’ve had a wonderfully busy and exciting start to the term in our classrooms! The children have been working very hard and are showing great enthusiasm for their learning.
In Literacy, we are almost at the exciting milestone of meeting all of our Little Learner Love Literacy characters and the sounds they represent. This means we are very close to knowing all the sounds of the alphabet—what an amazing achievement! It has been lovely to see the children growing in confidence as they recognise and use these sounds in their reading and writing.
We have also begun our Science learning, which started with a special visit to the Science room. The children had a fantastic time exploring the figurines and engaging with the space. There was a real sense of curiosity and wonder as they discovered new things together.
One of the highlights of the term so far has definitely been our excursion to the farm. For many, the bus ride was just as exciting as the destination! During our visit, the children had the opportunity to milk a cow, watch the farm dogs skillfully herd sheep, and feed a variety of farm animals. It was a rich, hands-on experience that the children are still talking about.
This wonderful excursion will support and inspire their upcoming non-fiction writing tasks later in the term, as they draw on what they saw, heard, and experienced.
We hope you enjoy looking through our photos and sharing in these special moments with us.
