Round 3 - 13 August v Ballarat High School
This game was played at Ballarat High School, resulting in a strong 19 goal win over the home team.
Monivae had a slow start in this game, with skill errors dominating the first half. Some personal adjustments meant our girls pulled together to improve transition down court and start to tick along on the score board really well. A great recovery effort and good signs to finish off.
Best on Court - Holly Rook

Round 4 - 20 August v Loretto College
A tightly contested round of netball, with Monivae coming away with an 8 goal win and a great confidence boost against Loretto on their home turf.
Our girls put on a beautiful display of quality netball in round 4; with sensational ball movement, ring work and good defensive pressure down court. It was pleasing to see all the work come together with a strong team effort.

Another very strong outfit, Ballarat Grammar, proved why they are undefeated and top of the ladder, taking a 20-goal win. Despite the final score line, our girls put in a fantastic effort and matched their opponents in many passages of play. The game was fast and competitive. Our team should be proud of the determination and teamwork they showed against such tough opposition to the final whistle.

GWR Basketball - Year 9 &10
Recently Monivae had a successful day in Ballarat at the GWR Basketball with both our Year 9/10 teams winning their pool games to advance to the Grand Finals against Emmanuel College Warrnambool.
Our girls fought valiantly in a closely contested final but were unable to secure the victory, while our boys delivered when it mattered most, claiming the championship title.
Our boys' team has progressed to the State Championships in Term 4. Both squads should be commended for their exceptional representation of the school and the competitive spirit they displayed on court.
Thanks to Belinda Carroll and Nyah Bester for managing the teams on the day.
Netball Victoria School Championships
Last Wednesday, we sent four netball teams to compete in the Netball Victoria School netball competition at Pedrina Park. Our Year 7/8 teams, coached by Ms Read and Miss Holmquest, both played well throughout the day, securing several victories and demonstrating excellent teamwork and sportsmanship.
Our senior Year 11/12 team, under Miss Bester's guidance, enjoyed a successful day on the courts as well, winning the majority of their matches. The highlight of the competition was our Year 9/10 team, coached by Miss Couchman, who dominated their division and earned the right to represent the school at the state competition in Melbourne next month.
Thank you to all the staff for coaching and umpiring, as well as parents Karen Spong and Di Dixon, and Old Collegian Rhiannon Lewis.
South West Zone Shoot, Noorat
Despite challenging wind, rain, and hail at the Southwest Zone shoot in Noorat, the Monivae clay target team delivered an outstanding performance on Thursday.
Georgie Harris will be heading off to Echuca to compete again after winning the Junior Girls', scoring an impressive 16/20 and winning the shoot-off with 5/5. Other outstanding shooters included Eddie Steele, who hit a perfect 10/10, and Bridget Mitchell-Kenny with a 9/10 in their first round. Bridget went on to placing 4th in the Senior Girls category. Massive thank you to Sarah, Mr Flavel, and the parents for their support and transportation.
