Senior School News 

Upper Secondary (Years 9-10)

Our 9/10 students have been perfecting their Kitchen skills;

• 9/10A by making a delicious lasagna, garlic bread and salad for diners in our 3021 Café. They have also catered for all the dietary needs of their customers. 
• 9/10B by delivering and serving customers and using their communication and problem-solving skills when things don’t go according to plan!
• 9/10C have been demonstrating their marketing and finance skills by advertising our 3021 Café and collecting the all-important payments! 😊

• 9/10D & E have been focusing on building confidence in the kitchen by developing skills needed to become more independent in the future. 

   

Literacy and Numeracy skills have also been celebrated this week at Jackson with a number of activities planned to engage our students of all ages. One of the highlight activities is the ‘decorate your classroom door’ competition with the theme being 'Adventure'. A much sort after prize of a Pizza Party at the end of term, yet to be announced, has resulted in some amazing creative door displays. Winners will be announced at assembly on Friday.

The students have been enjoying visits to the Brimbank Libraries in Sunshine and Sydenham. The library is a great place to spend some time regardless of the weather. The students learn how to navigate a library and use the wide variety of resources available there.
