Foundation (Prep-Year 2)

This Week was Book Week, and we were all very excited across the Foundations Team to decorate our classroom doors!

Prep A decorated theirs around the book ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. Prep B chose the ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’. The 1/2s all decided to decorate their doors based on Pete the Cat stories. We also had a Storytime incursion where we got to take part in a story about two feuding tribes. In 1/2B we looked at lots of different books this week including ‘When the Doorbell Rang’. After reading this we practiced sharing cookies out into equal groups. It was lots of fun. 

Lower Primary (Years 3-4)

The Lower Primary team has had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week with a range of engaging and imaginative activities. Highlights included a delightful incursion that brought a story to life, exciting treasure hunts that sparked curiosity, creative door decorating that showcased our love of reading, and a joyful dress-up day where students and staff alike transformed into their favourite book characters. It’s been a week full of fun, learning, and a shared passion for literacy and numeracy.
